    Where Did Sloan Murray’s Character Come From?

    I’m starting a new series of posts where I answer readers’ questions about my books or the so called ‘writing life’. We’re starting the series with a good one: Where did Sloan Murray’s character come from? The quick answer is Celtic mythology.  But let me expand on that. The principal character in The Pharmacist’s Deadly Secret, Sloan, first appears in Xander’s Folly, the second book in The King’s Jewel series. That series revolves around the Celtic mythology of the four treasures of the Tuatha de Danann and the second book features Lugh’s Spear.     My Writer Besties

    Writing can be a lonely pursuit.  Talking to your friends and family about your work in progress is nice, and I did plenty of that, but they don’t really understand what you’re going through and eventually—although they would never say so—they get tired of hearing it. A couple of years ago I was at a spot in my writing career where I had published a few books and had made several connections with other authors at conferences and online.
